What is Cialis Soft?

Tadalafil chewable tablets are used for treating the symptoms of erectile dysfunction in men. The soft pill acts much faster as compared to the oral tabs.

Is there something that I should mention to my health care provider before taking this drug?

Your health care provider needs to be aware if you suffer from any of these conditions.

Eye problems or vision problems including an inherited disorder of the eye called retinitis pigmentosa
A history of heart problems like angina, heart attacks or irregular heart beats
Blood pressure problems (high or low)
Cholesterol
HIV
Kidney disorders or liver disorders
An allergic reaction to the drug or any other medication or food

How should it be used?

You can follow the instructions on the prescription label. The tablet is to be taken by mouth with a glass of water and the dosage is taken about 30 mins to 1 hour prior to sexual intercourse. It may be taken with or without a meal. Never double or decrease your dosage.

Overdose: If you suspect an overdose then contact a medical emergency center or a poison control center immediately.

Never share the medication or consume unless required.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

There are no chances of you missing a dose because you take it only when required.

Are there any drugs that interact with Cialis?

You should not take Cialis soft if you are taking any of these medications.

Nitrates like isosorbide mononitrate, nitroglycerin and amyl nitrate. Maintain caution even if you use these drugs occasionally.

Other than this Cialis is also known to interact with certain medications like

Drugs used to treat high blood pressure or an enlarged prostate like Alpha blockers, such as alfuzosin (UroXatral®), doxazosin (Cardura®), prazosin (Minipress®), or terazosin (Hytrin®).
Macrolide antibiotics like clarithromycin, erythromycin, troleandomycin
Drugs used for seizure like carbamazepine, phenytoin, and Phenobarbital
certain drugs used for fungal or yeast infections, like fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, and voriconazole
Grapefruit juice
Mibefradil
Rifabutin, rifampin or rifapentine

You should clearly discuss with your health care professional about any medical condition that you suffer from or any medicines you are taking, including non-prescription medicines, nutritional supplements, or herbal products, if you are a smoker, alcoholic or take other illegal drugs.



What are the symptoms that I should watch out for while taking Cialis Soft?

Changes in vision – Contact your health care professional as soon as you notice some changes in your vision like blurred vision or loss of sight in one eye or both of them.

A painful erection or one that lasts for more than 4 hours may be a sign of priapism, a condition that demands urgent medical attention.

If you experience symptoms like nausea, chest pain, pain in the arms while starting sexual activity, then you must discontinue it immediately and seek medical care.

Do not consume excessive alcohol (5 shots of whiskey) as it can increase your chances of experiencing the above mentioned symptoms and it may also increase your heart rate or lower your blood pressure.

Cialis Soft is only used to treat the symptoms of ED. It cannot cure or prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases like HIV.

How should I store the medicine?

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) in a cool dark place away from the reach of children.

What should I watch for while using this medicine?

If you notice any changes in your vision while taking this drug, call your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible. Stop using this medicine and call your health care provider right away if you have a loss of sight in one or both eyes.

Contact you doctor or health care professional right away if the erection lasts longer than 4 hours or if it becomes painful. This may be a sign of serious problem and must be treated right away to prevent permanent damage.

If you experience symptoms of nausea, dizziness, chest pain or arm pain upon initiation of sexual activity after taking this medicine, you should refrain from further activity and call your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible.

Do not drink alcohol to excess (examples, 5 glasses of wine or 5 shots of whiskey) when taking this medicine. When taken in excess, alcohol can increase your chances of getting a headache or getting dizzy, increasing your heart rate or lowering your blood pressure.

Using this medicine does not protect you or your partner against HIV infection (the virus that causes AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases.

What are the side effects of Cialis Soft?

You should seek medical attention immediately if you see these side effects.

Loss of hearing or changes in hearing like a ringing in the ear
Changes in vision like complete loss of vision, blurred vision, increased sensitivity to light, difficulty differentiating between colors especially blue and green.
Chest Pains or Palpitations
Shortness of breath or other breathing difficulties
Dizziness
Swelling of eyelids
Skin rashes or itching

There are some other side effects also which do not require immediate medical care but you should consult your health care provider nevertheless.
